To all those,

After a Brain Injury I found it so important to be involved with others in a similar boat; I joined a local support group for TBI in N.Y. Sharing experiences; successes and even failures proved vital to me getting better. Important to point out, this was important to my family and friends well being also.

Check local hospitals for support groups; internet groups would be helpful;get involved in libraries or YMCA's. I spent time helping with my local TBI newsletter as editor. It is key to get involved in as much as posible.

For me, being in N.Y. Helen Hayes Hospital was a key resource. RUSK institute in Manhattan is also key.
